March 28 (Reuters) - Highlights of the day for U.S. President Donald Trump's administration on Tuesday:

RUSSIA

House Speaker Paul Ryan stands by Devin Nunes, a Trump ally who heads the House of Representatives Intelligence Committee and is under fire for his handling of an investigation into possible Russian ties to the president's election campaign.

Nunes says he will not divulge - even to fellow committee members - who gave him intelligence reports indicating Trump and his associates may have been ensnared in incidental intelligence collection.

CLIMATE CHANGE

Trump signs an order to undo Obama-era regulations to curb climate change, keeping a campaign promise to support the coal industry while calling into question U.S. support for an international deal to fight global warming.

BROADBAND PRIVACY RULES

The House votes 215-205 to repeal regulations requiring internet service providers to do more to protect customers' privacy than websites like Alphabet Inc's Google (GOOGL.O) or Facebook Inc (FB.O) after the White House says it strongly supports the move.

HEALTHCARE

Trump tells a group of senators he expects lawmakers will be able to reach a deal on healthcare, without offering specifics on how they would do it or what had changed since a healthcare reform bill was pulled last week for insufficient support.

BORDER WALL

Trump's call for $1.5 billion this year to help build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border could be in jeopardy as fellow Republicans in Congress weigh delaying a decision on the request.

SUPREME COURT

U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says the Senate will have a final vote on April 7 on Trump's Supreme Court nominee, Neil Gorsuch, even as more Democrats oppose his confirmation.

NATO

The U.S. Senate overwhelmingly backs the expansion of NATO to allow Montenegro to join the alliance, hoping to send a message the United States will push back against Russian efforts to increase its influence in Europe.

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson will press this week for NATO allies to demonstrate a "clear path" to increase defense spending, a State Department official tells reporters.

WORLD LEADERS

Trump will meet with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi at the White House next Monday, the White House says.

Trump will meet April 6-7 with Chinese President Xi Jinping at his Mar-a-Lago retreat in Florida, a source familiar with the meeting says.

Trump will attend a G20 summit in Hamburg, Germany, on July 7-8, the White House says after Trump spoke by phone to German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
